Day 28: Cascais & Pasteis de Belem

A couple of new things and new places today, including watching a man sculpt a sand penis on a beach in Cascais. Needless to say, that man got a tip.

To start the day we went to Pasteis de Belem, which apparently does the best custard tarts (Pasteis de Nata) in Lisbon and as a result; the world. They didn’t disappoint, I’d quite like to swing past this morning for round two!

We took the train to Cascais to have a look round late morning/afternoon – very nice spot. Despite the fact it’s January it was warm enough to sit on the rooftop of a vegetarian cafe called House of Wonders. Great mezze and smoothies, so a nice way to sign-off from Cascais.
